Aliens Built the Pyramids

I am a self proclaimed History Channel junkie.  I have always been facinated with history so this channel is one of my favorites.

Last night there was an episode of Ancient Aliens that had alien/ufo researchers giving their opinions on how the pyramids were built.  It was the age old argument of alien vs God vs extremely brilliant ancestors but the show did have quite a few good points thats why I wanted to blog about it and get other opinions.

The researchers proclaimed that although our ancestors were smart and fluid in the language of math and astrology, that this knowledge was not enough to build the massive pyramids in Giza and South America.  They highlighted some very valid points:

1) How did they get the large blocks of stone so high off the ground without modern or extraterrestrial technology?
2) How did cultures who were thousands of miles apart, and existing in different times, come up with almost the same design?
3) How could they breathe or have fire in the pyramids while they were being built as there is barely any oxygen to keep fire lit let alone have several people breathing down there.  They also pointed out that there are NO scorch or smoke marks on the ceilings from torches.

My opinions:
1) Throughout the years I have watched several shows and read many reports on how they got the stone and lifted it into place.  Everything from sand holes to ancient cranes to an exhaustive amount of workers pulling the several ton blocks into place.  Honestly, they all sound valid to me.  With how perfectly symetrical the pyramids are I would really tend to go with the alien theory.  I say this because my friends husband does cement work and I have yet to see his work be absolutely, perfectly straight.  There are always flaws and small glitches.  So seeing this makes me believe the possibility of thousands of workers getting it 100% without flaws seems impossible.

2) This is a REALLY good point!  The Mayans did not hop on boats and tour inland Africa.  The Egyptians did not hop on boats and go deep into the jungles of South America.  So how did they get such similiar designs without help from the same source of knowledge?   One could say that both cultures looked to the sky and built the pyramids for the same reason as both cultures were very advanced.  Could be…this makes sense…but seems improbable to me.

3) I have watched hundreds of hours of shows on Egypt and the Pyramids.  I have seen this subject briefly touched on but not to the extent that the show covered last night.  How did they carve the inside of the pyramids with no light – there wasn’t even enough oxygen to keep a small fire lit!  And there are not any smoke trailings on the ceilings either.  How did they do this?  Carve them outside them move them in?  No.  Did their “heavenly helpers” bring in a technological light source that they used?  Hmmmm maybe!

I am not an ET expert but so many things in this world cannot be explained logically.  You almost HAVE to believe in an existence beyond our own…dontcha?
